In 2005, Ted Alspach had a revelation: what if board game pieces could talk? In fact, maybe they could talk, and as soon as Ted left his gaming room they were all playing the latest games he had just gotten in.
That would certainly explain punched spruces and the occasional missing meeple. After several months of inneffective therapy, Ted finally coaxed several game pieces from their boxes to help him write their story, from their perspective. And thus, Board 2 Pieces was born. In February 2006, BoardGameNews.com started carrying the strip twice a week, and still does on Tuesday and Thursday. Board 2 Pieces also appears in each issue of Knucklebones magazine.
